Abstract
Mr. Maharn, CPA (Isr.) started his accounting career in Fahn Kanne’s auditing department, following which he did a stint in the technical department of Grant Thornton’s London office. His next position was in the technical department of a big four firm where he amassed rich experience in this field.
Maharan graduated from Haifa University cum laude, with a degree in economics and accounting. Upon graduation he joined the teaching staff of the university and he also taught in other institutions of higher learning as well. In addition, Maharan was a member of the ad hoc technical team of the Technical Committee of the Israel Accounting Standards Board, specializing in governmental accounting.

Accounting consulting for publicly traded companies and companies preparing for IPOs, in Israel and abroad, including the drafting of opinions, accounting position papers, accounting accompaniment on complex accounting issues, initial implementation of new accounting standards and accounting policies, transition between Israeli and international accounting standards, reviewing and analyzing financial statements.
Preparation of professional publications and providing solutions to professional inquiries regarding international accounting standards to clients of member firms of the Grant Thornton International Ltd. network – London.
Accounting training to employees and clients of the firm.
Participation in due diligence projects and assistance on preparation of expert opinions for legal proceedings.
Auditing financial statements of public companies (including prospectuses) in accordance with the provisions of international standards and the standards of the Securities Commissions.
Auditng of the financial statements of large private companies pursuant to Israeli accounting standards.
Auditing tax returns.
