The BIRD Foundation’s mission is to stimulate, promote and suppor industrial R&D of mutual benefit to the U.S. and Israel

.A new call for proposals has been recently published

?Who can apply

Israeli companies interested in a joint development with an American company, of innovative product or technology. The R&D can be in a variety of domains such as advanced manufacturing, agro-technology, fintech, Cyber-Security, software etc

The proposed project has to demonstrate a significant commercial potential for both countries – Israel and the USA

?How much money can a company get

BIRD funds up to 50% (up to 1 million dollars) of the projects’ R&D costs

?What kind of expenses are eligible

    :Expenses such as

Labor

Subcontractors and consultants

Materials

travels

:Eligibility criteria (partial)   

R&D cooperation between two unrelated Israeli company and an American company

Highly innovative product or technology

Well balanced contribution of both companies to the project

קרן BIRD היא קרן דו-לאומית, שמטרתה לעודד ולתמוך בשיתופי פעולה תעשייתיים בין חברות  ישראליות לאמריקאיות, שיביאו תועלת לשתי המדינות.
הקרן פירסמה לאחרונה קול קורא להגשת בקשות לתמיכה בשיתוף פעולה במחקר ופיתוח בין חברות ישראליות לחברות אמריקאיות. 

למי התכנית מיועדת?

חברות ישראליות המעוניינות לפתח טכנולוגיה או מוצר חדשני בשיתוף פעולה עם חברה אמריקאית.
הפיתוח יכול להיות במגוון תחומים כגון ייצור מתקדם, טכנולוגית חקלאות, קלינטק וסביבה, תקשורת, טכנולוגיות בניה, אלקטרוניקה, פינטק, גז, תוכנה, סייבר, מדעי החיים, ביו-קונברג'נס ועוד.
על המוצר להיות בעל פוטנציאל מסחרי גבוה ויתרונות עבור שתי המדינות - ישראל וארה"ב.

כמה כסף החברה יכולה לקבל?

תמיכה כספית בשיעור של עד 50% מהוצאות המו"פ המאושרות עד מיליון דולר לפרויקט.
*במקרים יוצאי דופן המענק יכול להיות בגובה של עד 1.5 מיליון דולר. 

אילו הוצאות מוכרות?

הוצאות כגון:

• שכר עובדי הפיתוח
• קבלני משנה ויועצים בפיתוח
• חומרים
• נסיעות לחו"ל

בין תנאי הסף

• שיתוף הפעולה צריך להיות בין חברה אמריקאית וחברה ישראלית שאינן קשורות.
• המוצר המפותח בעל חדשנות טכנולוגית גבוהה.
• הפרויקט מאוזן מבחינת תרומת כל אחת מהחברות וחשיבותן.
